What is this?
A public forum on affordable housing co-hosted by the League of Women Voters- Comal Area (LWVCA) and the New Braunfels Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Awareness (IDEA) Forum.
Director of Economic and Community Development of the City of New Braunfels Jeff Jewell will discuss what the housing affordability challenge is, why cities should try to address it, how extensive the issue has become in New Braunfels, and what the city and its stakeholders are currently doing to address it. According to Jewell, “In nearly every community survey or discussion around the matter, housing affordability continues to be an issue citizens care about. Safe, affordable housing for families is almost always at the epicenter of what makes a stable community.”
The meeting will also be livestreamed on Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86098659369?pwd=QzVHOUNTRG45S0lLbTk2U2lEY2ptUT09 (ID: 860 9865 9369, passcode: 673106) . A recording will be posted on the LWVCA’s YouTube channel @lwvcomalarea7096. Due to technical issues the meeting will not be live-streamed on Facebook.
