The League of Women Voters-Comal Area aims to take the politics, hyperbole and misinformation out of Critical Race Theory, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion discussions.&#160; The public is invited to join LWV-CA for “CRT Is Not The Issue: DEI Explained” Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, at 7 p.m. on Zoom (ID: 860 9865 9369 Passcode: 673106) and Facebook Live @LWVComalTX.<br /><br />“The term Critical Race Theory has been become a political football with very little good information shared about what it actually is and confounding it with the idea of culturally diverse education.&#160; In our Nov. meeting, our goal is to take a step back, dismiss the disinformation and reach a better understanding of the issues involved in educating for participation in a culturally diverse society and a participatory democracy”, explains LWV-CA President Jerrie Champlin.&#160; A recording of the meeting will be available for later viewing on LWV-CA’s YouTube channel @LWVComalArea.
