LWVCA in Action
GOTV at Mammen:  We enjoy meeting our neighbors at Mammen Family Public Library in Bulverde.
New GOTV Location! LWVCA volunteers have hosted a few booths in western Comal County at Market Days held at Goofy's Bar and Grill.
NBHS Spring Drive: LWVCA members spoke to seniors about voting and registered 47 new voters. Students under 18 were given the opportunity to participate in the popular 2026 Pet Election.
GOTV at Westside Library: GOTV tables are a great way for new members to volunteer for LWVCA, as Amy Armijo discovered at Westside Library.
LWVCA VDRs register
 142 at Clemens HS
Our Guadalupe County Youth Empowerment Team had a successful voter registration drive at Clemens High School on April 2.  They engaged local seniors with a voting presentation and gave them the opportunity to register to vote.  142 registered to vote at the drive. Congratulations to Clemens High School and the Guadupe County Team!

From the President
  • Members-->RSVP for the May 6 LWVCA Annual MeetingThe May annual meeting is one of my favorite annual events.  I love getting to spend time with our members and discuss the League's successes and our future. Our Vice President of Organization, Kristen Coppock, always plans a fabulous event with delectable snacks.  We will also be voting on new board members and passing a budget. Check out Kristen's email dated April 6, 2026 for more information.
  • New Local Election and Primary Runoff and Candidate Information Available. Our election flyers are available at local libraries and other locations.  Contact me or Claire Morrison if you know of a great new location to drop off voting information. Local candidate responses can be found at vote411.org.
  • Upcoming Candidate Forums. Check out our calendar for information on the Garden Ridge Live Candidate Forum, 6:30 p.m. - 4/13/2026 at the Garden Ridge Community Center. There are a few volunteer spots available for that event. We will post recorded forums at LWVCA's Voting page.
  • Recent High School Voter Registration Drives.  Our members registered almost 200 voters at our three drives over the past two weeks. Drives at New Braunfels and Clemens High Schools are featured in LWVCA in Action. I'm betting that the engaging voter education presentations by Mandy Speights and Ada Conlan inspired many registrations at the Clemens and New Braunfels drives. Stay tuned next issue for pictures from our voter registration table at the new Navarro High School campus.
  • Many GOTV Table Volunteer Opportunities.  Thanks to all of our volunteers who helped provide information and voter registration opportunities, and other League services across our area in March and April.  You rock!  We have many more April GOTV table opportunities.  And some of them will host the Pet Election Primaries for the kids.  It's easy and a lot of fun.  Check out the list of volunteer opportunities above or here: Volunteer   Becky Waguespack is your contact for more information on volunteering for our engaging Get Out to Vote tables.
Happy spring,
Sheila
