From the President

Fall is a busy time of year.  As the summer heat gives way to the crisp fall weather, school and community events populate the calendar. Fall is also a busy time in the election world. And October 6 is the Texas voter registration deadline for the November election.
Have you moved? The Texas Secretary of State website offers current Texas registered voters the opportunity to update their address online. New voter registrations cannot be done online.

Eligible high schoolers turning 18 by the November election can register to vote at 17 years, 10 months old. College students likewise should consider making their voting plan.  Will they come home to vote in November? Register at their school address? Request a mail-in ballot?

We look forward to seeing neighbors at our get out the vote tables at the libraries and community events.  Our next big event is the Comal County Fair.  We will have a table on the plaza.  We always enjoy seeing all the floats and cheering on the area schools. If you are at the parade, stop by and say hello!
Have a great September!
Sheila Pattison
